Chromecast can now sync audio and video with Google Home devices, making it easier to watch movies and TV shows together. The new feature, which is rolling out today, will let you start playing a movie or show on your TV with just your voice. And if you have multiple Chromecasts or Google Homes, you can use them to create a surround sound system.

To get started, just say “Hey Google, play Stranger Things from my living room TV” and the show will start playing on your TV. You can also ask Google to play music from your favorite streaming service, or even queue up a YouTube video. How to set up Chromecast and Google Home

If you haven’t already, the first thing you need to do is set up your Chromecast. Once that’s done, open the Google Home app on your Android or iOS device and tap the Add button in the top right corner. Then select Set up device and choose Chromecast from the list of devices.

At this point, you’ll need to connect your Chromecast to the same Wi-Fi network as your Google Home. Once that’s done, you should see a message saying that your Chromecast is connected. Tap Continue and then name your Chromecast.

Tips and tricks for using Chromecast and Google Home together

Now that you know how to set up Chromecast and Google Home, here are a few tips and tricks for using them together.

If you have multiple Chromecasts in your home, you can use them to create a surround sound system. To do this, open the Google Home app and tap the Devices button in the top right corner. Then tap the three dots next to each Chromecast and select Speaker group.

You can also use your voice to control playback on your Chromecast-connected TV. Just say “Hey Google, play Stranger Things from my living room TV” and the show will start playing.
